The Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation is a statutory authority, established in 2011. Our mission is to improve the health and wellbeing of Victorians by working with communities and government to deliver effective, evidence-based initiatives to reduce and prevent gambling harm and provide support for those seeking help. We take a public health approach to our work, which means we focus on prevention, early intervention and support for Victorians who are particularly vulnerable to gambling harm, including in outer metropolitan, regional and rural communities.

An exciting vacancy exists for a fixed term position as a Senior Prevention Advisor in the Prevention team, within the Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation.
The Prevention team’s role is to undertake primary prevention initiatives and programs to address gambling harms in Victorian communities. Working within a public health framework, the team partners with diverse stakeholders and takes an innovative, collaborative approach to its work. The team delivers a range of state wide grants and settings based programs.
Reporting to the Director of Prevention, the role will be pivotal in planning, delivering and evaluating Foundation’s prevention grant and strategic partnership initiatives.
About you
The successful candidate will ideally possess the following attributes:
- a tertiary qualification that incorporates health promotion, social policy, public health or community development
- well established knowledge and skills in the co-ordination of state wide health promotion programs and initiatives.
- demonstrable relationship and stakeholder management skills and experience
- understanding of program evaluation frameworks and practices that monitor performance and demonstrate impact.
This position may be considered on a full time or part time basis (minimum of 4 days per week).
