About the organisation
Founded in 1983, the Albany Youth Support Association (AYSA) provides support for young people at risk of disengagement and homelessness across Residential and Outreach services in the beautiful Great Southern region of Western Australia. AYSA is guided by social justice principles of access, equity, rights and participation. Outstanding service quality scope across youth work, mentoring, refuge and housing support has seen AYSA grow across the region including new partnerships with local, state and federal agencies.
About the role
The Opportunity
Partnering with the Chair and committed Board, you will build an impressive and engaged culture to achieve AYSA’s mission and vision and create maximum impact for the community and AYSA’s customers. Your remit will include:
- Developing and delivering on strategic goals and ensuring effective governance and compliance across all legal, statutory, and industry regulations with the Board
- Leading internal resources including operational and support teams for efficient and effective delivery for current and new exciting projects
- Promoting quality programs and services within financial guidelines including budgeting, reporting, and fund management
- Active community relations and engagement as a key advocate for AYSA with customers, volunteers, donors, the community, government agencies and all other external stakeholders
You
You are an experienced values-driven leader with a passion for engaging teams within the not-for-profit and community sector. Ideally tertiary qualified, you have a strong track record of effective financial management, business nous, governance, and project/funding management. Community engagement is a crucial part of this role, based locally in Albany.
