The Role
Reporting to the Head of Fundraising this role will be responsible for raising funds from major supporters with a focus on the cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of individuals, corporates, trusts and foundations. This will include:
- Leading and coordinating the relationship management of current major donors
- Research, identification and the solicitation of new major gift donors
- Implementing and maintaining personalised stewardship plans for major donors
- Ensuring that lapsed major donors are given the opportunity to renew their support
- Supporting the Head of Fundraising with the development of major gifts submissions
Skills Required
You are a relationship fundraiser, BD, sales or sponsorship executive with a background in corporate fundraising and/or trusts and foundations. You have exceptional communication and influencing skills with a personable approach to engage and build relationships and you can demonstrate:
- Deep understanding of best practice major gift or business development strategies
- Success securing funding from trusts and foundations, major donors, PAFs or corporate partners
- Use of effective soliciting and stewardship tools mapping the donor or customer journey
- Experience working collaboratively in a target driven environment
- Excellent pitch and presentation skills
- Ability to plan and prioritise work to multitask, meet deadlines and achieve goals
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with CRM systems
