The Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation (OCRF) was founded in May 2000 and is committed to furthering research into this currently not well understood disease. The OCRF aims to fund innovative ovarian cancer research to save women’s lives through early detection and personalised treatment.

To achieve its research goals and save women’s lives the OCRF needs to increase its income. This exciting new role, accordingly, is charged with strategically developing and executing OCRF’s philanthropic revenues, driving research, cultivation, solicitation, acknowledgement and stewardship of philanthropic donors and prospects to maximise their giving and retention levels.

This greenfield opportunity demands a professional with  exceptional presentation, interpersonal and communication skills, along with proven success in major gifts fundraising and relationship management – and a genuine understanding of philanthropy.

You will work closely and directly with executive leadership, supporting and engaging seamlessly with an agile team, simultaneously liaising with key stakeholders, board/committee members, and researchers to maximise program outcomes.

You will ideally hold accreditation through the FIA, along with a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education and experience, combined with a sound knowledge of fundraising databases. An interest in cancer research and treatment and ability to work within cancer health guidelines will be highly valued.
