Chief Executive Officer, ARAFMI

The Opportunity An opportunity to lead this special Queensland not-for-profit through the next stage of its development in collaboration with a supportive Board You will join an organisation which is:

• Keen to consolidate the successful changes made over the last two years and ready to progress to the next stage of growth

The Role As Chief Executive Officer, you will:

• Continue implementation of the 2017-2020 Strategic Plan, working collaboratively with the Board to review and renew the strategic plan;
• Consolidate success in attracting and providing NDIS services;
• Maintain financial stability and continue to grow diverse funding sources;
• Take a lead role in engagement with stakeholders including funders and building strategic partnerships;
• Ensure high standards of delivery across a significant and diverse program of work;
• Position ARAFMI for continued sustainable growth through investment in human capacity and effective back-office systems

The Requirements Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:

• Outstanding leadership and management skills
• Proven success in identifying opportunities for strategic growth, developing financial and budgetary options and ensuring that quality and operational measures are met.
• Excellent interpersonal, engagement and relationship building skills
• Experience working in mental health, disability services or similar human services environments
• Personal qualities of integrity, drive, motivation and commitment to the organisation and its values, philosophy and mission

Tertiary qualifications in health or management will be highly regarded. The Environment Arafmi Queensland Inc. is a community organisation providing support and services for families, carers and people with a mental health issue or psychiatric disability. Commencing as a carer self-help group in Brisbane in 1977, Arafmi is now a Company Limited by Guarantee and a Charity registered by the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC). While its services were initially developed in the Brisbane region, they have gradually been extended and adapted to provide support for Arafmi groups and carers in regional areas of Queensland. • Remuneration to be negotiated depending on experience and qualifications
• Annual leave loading
• Superannuation of 9.5%
