About the role

THERAPIST (PSYCHOLOGIST), MST-CAN Initiative

Dubbo NSW Australia

If you are passionate about serving youth and their families, and want to significantly grow your expertise in working effectively with them, we invite you to apply for this unique opportunity to implement multi-systemic therapy for child abuse and neglect (MST-CAN) in Dubbo, NSW Australia. You will be part of professional team that will be amongst the first in Australia to deliver MST-CAN. 

MST-CAN is an evidence-based program designed to treat youth ages 6 to 17 and their families who have come to the attention of Child Protective Services due to physical abuse and/or neglect.

MST-CAN works with the entire family in an effort to keep children with their families and help the family resolve clinical and practical concerns so that children can be safe.

As a MST-CAN Therapist your duties will include assessment, treatment, documentation and stakeholder collaboration. You will work a rotating 24/7 roster and must be flexible to work with the families’ availability. A vehicle will be supplied for work purposes.

This role requires a minimum Masters qualification in clinical/counselling Psychology and registration with APHRA. Consideration may be given to experienced Registered Psychologists who demonstrate a very high degree of learning and experience in relevant areas of clinical practice.

You will receive extensive training in Child and Adult trauma therapy, Adolescent and Adult Substance use treatment, and other MST-CAN components. 

Salary commencing at $115,000 to $120,000 to be negotiated based on skills and experience. You will enjoy a competitive salary, access to salary packaging of up to $15,900 tax free p.a. and other generous benefits.
