As part of the job share arrangement it is expected that the CEO will be an exceptionally collaborative leader and committed to co-designing and co-delivering on the organisational direction with their CEO counterpart. The CEO works with the Board of Management to drive the strategic plan, oversees organisational operations and provides leadership and guidance across the organisation. In addition to the shared responsibility of operational management, the CEO has sole accountability for the management of three portfolio areas; Community development, program standards and quality, marketing and communications.
About the person
The professional we are seeking for this position will possess a minimum of three years’ experience working in a senior management / program management position including extensive experience providing staff supervision and leadership. A sound understanding of business principles, a strong financial, human resources management, quality and compliance acumen within the not for profit sector is critical to this role. An understanding of program funding agreements is also essential. Candidates must possess a completed (or near completed) university degree in a related discipline.
About the organisation
Gippsland Multicultural Services Inc. is a community based organisation, assisting migrants and refugees in Gippsland through the provision of a range of services and programs that support the settlement and ongoing participation of diverse communities in the Gippsland region. The service employs a workforce of approximately 40 – 50 staff encompassing administration, program management, direct support and volunteers.
Reinforcing the organisation’s commitment to its values, to support diversity, flexibility, inclusion and equity, the CEO position is offered as a part time job share position, three days per week.
