About the role
This is your opportunity to support vulnerable children in Australia and around the world by using your extensive networks and experience to cultivate and secure major gifts from high net worth individuals. Working with a highly reputable international brand celebrating its Centenary in 2019, you’ll implement a strategy to maximise support from major donors, working within an ambitious Philanthropy team, and with the support of a highly engaged CEO and Board.

Where you come in:
In this full-time permanent position based in our Head Office in Carlton, you will be a key member of the Major Donor team within the Philanthropy team. You will identify, cultivate and secure major gifts from high value donors across Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia and Western Australia.
You will make an impact by:
- Building on an existing donor pipeline to maximise income from donors in the region
- Collaborating with key stakeholders to identify and secure funding opportunities to meet organisational needs
- Continuously promoting the positive impact of Save the Children’s programs, mission and ambition
- Producing and presenting highly impactful funding opportunities and organisational outcomes to maximise donor engagement

…You are an energetic and enthusiastic philanthropy professional with proven results in working with high net worth individuals to help them achieve their philanthropic objectives. You are motivated by ambitious fundraising targets and you work creatively to achieve them. Others describe you as being highly professional, collaborative, a team-player, transparent and a compelling storyteller. You are also a passionate advocate for children.
This role requires:
- A well-established network of philanthropic contacts in the region
- Demonstrated success in securing major gifts from high net worth individuals and achieving significant financial targets
- Demonstrated success in building donor pipelines and developing effective cultivation strategies
- The ability to adapt communication styles to influence positive outcomes with a wide range of stakeholders
