About the role
The Philanthropy team is critical to the ongoing success of the Institute, securing philanthropic funds to enable QIMR Berghofer’s vital research in cancer, infectious diseases, mental health and chronic disorders to continue now and into the future.
Reporting to the Philanthropy Manager and working closely with all members of the Philanthropy team, you will play a key role in the mid-level gift pipeline, identifying and working with donors to increase their engagement with, and level of support for, the Institute. You will also establish, manage and administer donor loyalty programs, and coordinate and project manage VIP events, including the annual donor thank you event.
With excellent project management and organisation skills you will ideally have experience working in a fundraising, communications and/or marketing environment and able to hit the ground running. You will be confident, warm and engaging and enjoy working with the Institute’s community of donors, both in person and on the phone. Although not essential, experience of donor relationship management in a the mid-level and or major gifts environment and the use of the Raiser’s Edge CRM database will be highly regarded.
