The Legal team is part of Connect (Corporate Services) and provides legal, regulatory, risk, insurance, compliance and company secretarial guidance and support across all teams at SVA.
The position
This exciting part-time, permanent position sits within the Legal team and reports directly to the Director, Legal. The primary purpose of the role is to provide efficient paralegal and administrative support to the Director, Legal in performing the functions of the legal team. In this important role you will assist with company secretarial requirements, undertake legal research and help with contracts management. You will assist in further developing and operationalising SVA’s compliance framework and contribute to maintaining SVA’s risk management framework. This role also requires you to assist with the administration of SVA’s insurance program.
Who you are
If you are highly organised, proactive and have a real passion for providing exceptional support, this is the role for you! The ideal candidate will bring solid communication and relationship skills, contracts management experience, and knowledge of key regulatory regimes applicable to SVA’s activities, including financial services, charities, fundraising, privacy and WHS.
To be successful in the position you will have prior experience working in a paralegal capacity and a proven track record in reviewing, drafting and implementing compliance policies and procedures. You will possess an established background researching and analysing legislation and regulatory requirements, together with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
