About the role
The Philanthropy team is critical to the ongoing success of the Institute, securing philanthropic funds to enable QIMR Berghofer’s vital research in cancer, infectious diseases, mental health and chronic disorders to continue now and into the future.
Reporting to the Philanthropy Manager, you will implement the Institute’s major philanthropy drive, with the outcome of securing significant philanthropic funds at the major gift level from individuals, corporates, trusts and foundations. As part of a five-year major philanthropy campaign, your ability to develop a portfolio of viable funding opportunities with research champions across the Institute will be key.
You will be an experienced and highly motivated fundraising professional with the experience to develop ongoing, mutually beneficial relationships with current and potential donors. With an affinity for the work of QIMR Berghofer, you will be well-organised and results-focussed, comfortable managing multiple priorities and working to deadlines.
