The Ethnic Communities’ Council of Victoria Inc. (ECCV) is the voice of multicultural Victoria. It is a community based, member driven peak advocacy body for ethnic and multicultural organisations committed to empowering people from diverse multicultural backgrounds.
Our purpose is to help build a culturally diverse and cohesive society that is just, fair, and inclusive with specific reference to the needs and aspirations of Victorians from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
About the role
An exciting opportunity exists for a suitably qualified Policy Officer to undertake research in areas of strategic priority for ECCV in order to produce high quality policy positions that provide the evidence base for advocacy. This includes detailed policy papers, submissions, briefs and fact sheets. The Policy Officer works under the direction of the Advocacy Leader to inform ECCV’s advocacy, campaign and community engagement priorities. This role includes the coordination of ECCV Policy Committees and requires experience in public policy analysis as well as knowledge of multiculturalism.
An attractive remuneration is negotiable in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry (SCHCDSI) Award 2010, subject to experience and qualifications.
