About the role
An exciting position exists for an ongoing Research Officer with an appetite for working with research. The position will sit within the Research and Evaluation branch, and will focus on organising and communicating research findings, both Foundation-commissioned and from other sources. Key tasks will include (but not limited to) developing research products such as discussion and background papers, updates, summaries and fact sheets. The Research Officer will also play an integral role in collaborating with various stakeholder groups (internal Foundation staff and external groups) to put the evidence-base to use across policy, practice and prevention.
About the organisation
The Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation was created in 2011 as a statutory authority. The foundation helps people affected by gambling harm, as well as their families and friends. We are also responsible for fostering greater understanding and awareness of the concept of responsible gambling in the wider community. Our work can be broadly categorised into the following areas: Treatment and support services, Community education and prevention, Research, Gambling Information Resources Office, and Professional Development Centre. The Foundation is a uniquely placed, nurturing and developing strategic relationships with community groups, government departments and agencies, service providers and industry to make a difference in the Victorian community.
