About the role
An exciting opportunity exists for a suitably qualified Seniors Project Officer to deliver on the elder abuse prevention program, funded by the Victorian Department of Health & Human Services (DHHS). The aim of this role is to raise awareness on elder abuse and family violence in culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities. In this role you will work closely with target communities, including new, emerging and established migrants, as well as with key agencies and government stakeholders through the delivery of community education, information sessions and the training of bilingual facilitators. The position also provides support and advice to CALD communities on DHHS senior grants. The position requires skills in project coordination, training and community development.
