About the role
Position: Customer Service Officer
Reports to: Team Leader, Access & Inclusion
Direct Reports: 0
Location: Perth
Status: Part time hours (15.2 or 22.8) or 2- 3 days a week
Maternity leave vacancy
Contract term ending 31 December 2019, with possibility
of extension but with no guarantee.
Background:
NDS WA administers three access and inclusion programs for people with disability. These programs provide services to over 90,000 Western Australians with disability.
Position Overview:
The overall objective of the role is to provide a welcoming and professional service to NDS customers together with accurate and efficient completion of program data entry and administrative tasks.
Key roles and responsibilities:
- Provide a welcoming and professional service to NDS customers and visitors, including front office reception duties as required
- Respond promptly to customer enquiries by phone and email; appropriately escalate complex enquiries to management and maintain customer confidentiality
- Accurate and efficient data entry across multiple databases and spreadsheets
- Administration duties including meeting minutes, mail, filing, archiving, and daily reconciliation tasks
- Other duties as required
Key Attributes
- Demonstrated customer service orientation and experience, with strong interpersonal and communication skills
- High standard of computer literacy, including Outlook, Word and Excel
- Accurate data entry skills
- Strong time management and organisational skills with the capacity to handle multiple tasks in a busy environment
- Ability to use own initiative and problem solve issues associated with the daily running of an office
- Ability to work harmoniously within a team environment
- Ability to project a professional image of the organisation
- A commitment to own professional development
- Medical or disability knowledge and/or the ability to quickly acquire this knowledge through on-the-job training
