About the role

The opportunity
If you are a successful Major Gift fundraiser with demonstrated Trust and Foundation experience and are looking to take the next step up in your career, this job could be for you.

You will work closely with the Executive Team of the University, Senior Researchers and the Director Development & Alumni on multi-disciplinary, long term and high value Trust and Foundation applications.   The focus will be on building new relationships and strengthening existing relationships with Trusts & Foundations who are looking to develop trusted and long term partnerships with research organisations, who are well placed to also leverage funding from other sources. 

This is a fixed term (two-year appointment with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and mutual agreement), full time position based at the Nathan or Gold Coast campus.

About you
To be successful in this role you will possess strong interpersonal, communication, presentation and negotiation skills (preferably with university or medical research experience).  You must have a proven track record of building relationships with and securing funding from Trusts and Foundations.  From your previous positions, you will be familiar with working to targets and deadlines, are outcomes driven and able to write succinct and compelling proposals to demonstrate the impact of the proposed research project.

You will enjoy working with a team of university Development Managers, reporting to the Director of Development and Alumni.  This is a high profile position working closely with the University’s executive and world-class researchers in areas such as health, the environment, community wellbeing, social enterprise and Indigenous affairs.  You will engage with Trusts and Foundations at a local, regional, national and international level.

Salary range
HEW Level 9: $110,553 – $114,506 per annum. Salary package including 17% employer superannuation contribution: $129,347 – $133,972 per annum.
