About the organisation

Organisation Name : Asylum Seeker Resource Centre

The Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC) is both a place and a movement. We are an independent not-for-profit organisation, whose programs support and empower people seeking asylum to maximise their own physical, mental and social well-being. As a movement, we mobilise and unite communities to create lasting social and policy change for people seeking asylum in Australia. We are proud to be owned and run by our community of volunteers and supporters.

About the role

Project snapshot

With needs driven services delivered across our Footscray and Dandenong sites, ASRC is now working on expanding our Dandenong service. The purchase of a new building enables us to now deliver place-based holistic services in conjunction with local service providers. We are fortunate to have secured an 800sq metre building in Dandenong precinct. The new property represents the first permanent home for the ASRC and offers new stability and certainty to underpin service delivery. Development of an Integrated Services Hub in Dandenong will enable the ASRC and partner organisations to collaboratively work together to grow and improve assistance to people seeking asylum through facilitating access to quality, wrap-around services that are responsive to needs.
