About the organisation
Hepatitis NSW (HNSW) is a dynamic, leading community based non-government organisation funded by the Ministry of Health to provide information, support, referral, and education services for people affected by viral hepatitis.
We are seeking an experienced CEO who, in consultation with the Board, will lead a dedicated team of staff and be responsible for implementing HNSW’s strategic plan, while working toward the goal of elimination of hepatitis C in the era of Direct Acting Antiviral treatments and cure, and ensuring the delivery of culturally appropriate services for communities affected by hepatitis B.
Hepatitis NSW provides a supportive work environment and is co-located with like-minded organisations in Surry Hills, Sydney
About the role
The CEO works with the Board of Governance and has responsibility for developing and implementing strategic objectives to increase awareness and access to treatment and cure in the era of DAA treatments. The CEO is also responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of HNSW, for delivering services, for collaborating with key stakeholders, and for advising the Board on policy, strategic and operational direction, organisational risk and financial wellbeing.
The successful candidate will have senior management experience, and demonstrated competence in building effective and collaborative relationships with membership, staff, volunteers, government, media, and community and private organisations.
