With four early childhood services in Carlton North, Docklands, Broadmeadows and Yarraville they provide education and care to over 800 young children. Gowrie Victoria also provides education and training to the sector and government through their RTO and specialist training and consultancy services.
About the role
After six years of outstanding leadership the current Chief Executive Officer has decided pursue other opportunities when his contract concludes at the end of the year. This is a rare opportunity to lead a unique organisation that is predicted to double in size in the next two to three years. Gowrie Victoria is seeking a suitability qualified and experienced senior executive to manage growth, drive the continuing development of culture and quality, while embedding exemplary standards of leadership and management. The successful candidate will be able to strategically create a future that continues to deliver on Gowrie’s purpose in a sustainable and commercially astute manner. The Chief Executive is accountable to the board for performance and is supported by a talented executive team. With a strong alignment to the organisation’s values and purpose, you will be a strategic and engaging leader with significant experience of driving growth and change programs in a service delivery environment (either within or outside the education sector). With a focus on developing a learning culture, you will have proven ability to enhance quality and performance, by embedding a productive organisational culture that is strong and resilient. Strong commercial orientation, financial literacy and sound analytical and problem solving skills are essential. With a high level of credibility you will build and sustain critical relationships with a complex and ever changing stakeholder environment. Tertiary qualifications at a post-graduate or Masters level in either Business, Education or related field are considered essential for success in this role.
