About the role

  • Can be based in Melbourne or Sydney

This national role has been created to take advantage of the organisation’s strategic growth and achievements.  Working closely with the wider Income Development team, you will be responsible for leading the strategy and direct implementation for growing income from fundraising activity and philanthropic trusts and foundations as well as from major donors and bequestors.

A true understanding of the donor journey and experience in managing a major gifts strategy is essential, along with sound donor research skills.  Your ability to develop relationships and engage high-level donors towards a rewarding philanthropic path is vital to success – along with the ability to maintain excellent working relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

Critical to this role is a demonstrated ability to think strategically and deliver organisational outcomes, coupled with a self-directed, energetic and motivated approach. Highly developed interpersonal and presentation skills are essential, and financial oversight a must – providing input to annual strategic planning, budget process, targets and related activities.
