About the organisation
Friday Night School is an independent non-denominational educational charity that assists migrant and refugee students from non-English speaking backgrounds, including pre-schoolers, primary and secondary students, and their parents.
Secondary students from various Melbourne schools volunteer to participate in the Friday Night School by providing one-on-one tutoring in a collaborative and informal environment on Friday evenings.
We also offer bursaries to a small number of students of the Friday Night School through the Friday Night School Bursary Fund, provide further educational assistance to students and their families, and organise additional activities such as an annual camp.
About the role
The Program Director is responsible for the management of operations of FNS and will lead the organisation and its fundraising to the next stage of development as a non-profit organisation. They will run the day to day operations, including administer the bursary program and building relations with students, families, donors and schools.
They will be responsible for all the general administration of the organisation including general record keeping, management of finances and bookkeeping.
