We have an exciting opportunity for a Regional Administration Officer to join our Katherine team within CatholicCare NT. The primary purpose of this role is to provide a high level of administrative and reception services that support and enhance the effective delivery of CatholicCare NT Programs in the Katherine Region. The position reports directly to the Regional Manager Katherine.

A key aspect to the Regional Administration Officer is to engage as first point of contact for new clients and be familiar and knowledgeable about CatholicCare NT programs and other community based social services. Additionally you will be required to conduct Site Orientations for all new staff and visitors and provide regular updates for existing staff in terms of administrative and communications systems, briefing on facilities and equipment usage, emergency procedures and WHS requirements.

We are looking for a candidate who is a team player with ability to work alongside others in a spirit of trust, respect, reflection and accountability. You will have strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) including the ability to effectively communicate with providers and client across a range of diverse cultural groups, in a respectful and professional manner.

We are looking for a person with:

  • High level of organisational skills, ability to prioritise and manage a range of tasks, capacity to respond effectively and appropriately to conflict and challenges whilst working within established polices procedures and guidelines
  • A minimum of two years’ experience working in a busy reception area providing administrative support for internal and external customers
  • Demonstrated ability to use and mentor others in usage and application of technology, including word documents, email, electronic databases, and video conferencing
  • Experience with WHS or Certificates in Workplace Health and Safety highly desirable
