About the role

Southern Cross Care NSW & ACT (SCC) has a dynamic Board and Leadership Team that guide and support the ongoing growth and development of the organisation, ensuring it has key building blocks in place to service a modern client-focused organisation.

SCC is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified people who have a passion for supporting an organisation that delivers quality care and support to the elderly. We are seeking three Non-Executive Directors for this remunerated position with considerable skills and experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Finance with commercial/business acumen
  • Property Development, Construction and/or Management
  • Health and Aged Care

The Board meets monthly, combining Board standing items and information and education sessions throughout the year. Non-Executive Directors are required to be general members of one or more of a Board Committee. Board and Committee meetings are held at SCC’s Sydney offices in Epping.

Preferred candidates will demonstrate a personal commitment to the Catholic faith and a desire to engage with the mission, vision and values of SCC. Knowledge of or experience in the health and aged care services sector would be highly regarded, as well as a commitment to making a difference to improving the lives and opportunities of SCC’s clients.
