Based in Collingwood, the Northern Outreach Team provide outreach support services to clients within the Cities of Yarra, Darebin, Moreland and southern end of the City of Hume. Continually supporting in excess of 140 individuals, couples and families aged between 16 and 65 years, the Northern Outreach Team provides a variety of housing focused supports and case management including short, medium and long term interventions as well as housing support for clients residing in THM’s, Rooming Houses and other suitable and sustainable options throughout the region.
The Northern Outreach Team Coordinator provides direct supervision, support and leadership to a team of 8 highly qualified and experienced staff and is responsible for ensuring that the services are responsive, consistent, effective and maximises the client’s capacity to gain and maintain suitable housing and health and wellbeing outcomes.
The Northern Outreach Team Coordinator will also ensure that the requirements of the relevant funding agreements are met and other activities associated with the needs of the organisation are completed.
What you will need
The successful candidate will have a tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health or other relevant discipline coupled with significant practical experience and a demonstrated understanding of housing and homelessness policy, context and systems.
They will also have strong leadership qualities including a high degree of initiative, integrity and accountability as well as experience supporting staff who work with people who are marginalized and disenfranchised with a diverse range of complex needs.

We are a secular, independent provider of choice for clients and the 'go to' organisation on homelessness for government, media, philanthropy, private donors and the community.
The Launch Housing Northern Outreach Team provides a range of flexible, responsive and professional services for people experiencing homelessness or are at risk of being homeless. We actively engage clients to assist them to gain and maintain sustainable housing and other supports. The program works in partnership with other services to keep people safe, build rapport, and engage them with the broader service system and their community.
