About the role

The Role

Hear for Kids is seeking an experienced paediatric Physiotherapist to join our transdisciplinary team. This exciting opportunity would ideally suit an experienced professional wanting to work with infants and children within early childhood development programs (ECDP), home and community settings.

Hear for Kids provides speech language pathology, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, psychology and teacher of the deaf services to deaf and hard of hearing infants, children and adults and their families across a number of programs, including NDIS. Services are provided both during the day and after school.

The Physiotherapist will be based at Taigum and Yeerongpilly ECDPs and provide both onsite and mobile services in greater Brisbane either part-time or full-time.

The successful applicant will have the ability to handle a busy caseload and work independently and also cooperatively within a flexible, transdisciplinary structure. You must have strong interpersonal and communication skills to work in a family-centred environment. You will be responsible for screening, assessing and treating children based on their individual needs/goals, writing reports and home programs, and providing family inclusive support.

Essential Criteria:

  • The ideal candidate must have tertiary qualifications in physiotherapy (a minimum of two years’ experience, preferably with paediatrics and disability);
  • Knowledge of typical and atypical development;
  • Experience in Auslan is highly regarded.
  • Must have current registration with AHPRA,
  • A current Queensland driver’s licence and your own vehicle (mileage reimbursed); and
  • Be eligible for a Queensland Blue Card.
