We are seeking an experienced Program Manager for our Child Youth & Family Department.

Child Youth & Family at Connect Health & Community is a multi-disciplinary service area with a holistic view towards supporting a healthy community. Our services include a variety of Allied Health and Mental Health services, for people across the whole life span and living with a diverse range of presenting needs. The Program Manager, Child Youth & Family (CYF) is responsible for providing strategic leadership and operational oversight which comprises three multi-disciplinary health teams and the Health Promotions Team.

The Program Manager will have a strong focus on financial sustainability, risk management, policy development, clinical governance, systems development and the implementation of the integrated model of care. Reporting to the Chief Services, the aim of the role is to ensure the Child Youth and Family Program provide high quality, comprehensive, client focused and multi-disciplinary health services to the community.

Scope and Accountabilities:

  • Lead and manage Senior Practitioners and Program staff, including ongoing development and performance management, and monitors workflow delegated to the program teams
  • Strategic management of existing services
  • Leading the implementation of the Integrated Model of Care within the Program
  • Developing, monitoring and reviewing ongoing business plans for services
  • Budget setting and monitoring, ensuring the program operates within a responsible, sustainable financial framework.
  • The management of a range of funding sources and agreements
  • Program Performance Monitoring and Reporting requirements DHHS including IHSYS, Child First and SEMPHN API service. This would include identifying corrective actions and or improvements to meet performance measures
  • Participating in the preparation of relevant tenders and submissions
  • Developing and implementing clinical governance systems and risk management processes that ensure the delivery of safe, high quality service in a manner congruent to organisational frameworks
  • Risk and incident management for the CYF team
  • Child Safety Resource and Family Violence resource and contact person
  • Monitoring of quality and compliance activity for CYF team and participation in CQI activities.
  • Attend relevant internal and network/partnership meetings

This role is paid in accordance with the Victorian Stand-Alone Community Health Services (Health and Allied Services, Managers and Administrative Officers) Multiple Enterprise Agreement 2018-2022 at Level 6.

A current Police Check and Working With Children’s Certificate is a condition of employment
