About the role
The key area of work for the Senior Facilitator – Practice-based Learning will be facilitating a range of client-focussed trauma-informed learning packages to VACCA and sector staff (primarily within Victoria but also at times across Australia).
The Learning & Development Unit is responsible for the development and management of key functions which guide VACCA’s growth and development as the lead Aboriginal child and family organisation in the state

We are looking for an experienced practitioner with the Child and Family Servicessector who is well-organised and works well in a team.

- In depth knowledge and experience in one or more of the following practice areas:
- Trauma-informed care
- Child and adolescent development
- Family Services
- Family Violence
- Understanding of historical and contemporary issues that affect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in Australian society
- Strong commitment to, and understanding of, Aboriginal cultural values, family structures, and community
- You can build and keep strong relationships with VACCA leaders, staff and other people we work with
- You know how to positively influence change
