Many of our casual staff join our full time and part time teams! Our people don’t just work with us because they have the skills and experience to do the job. To work with us you have a positive, authentic, inclusive personality which you bring to work with you every day.  

Based in the Central Coast, you will report to the Team Leader, in our in home residential and outreach services. Working hours involve shift work, and you will need to be available to work flexible shifts that may include a combination of mornings, evenings, nights, sleepovers and weekends.

The day to day

  • Providing a person centred approach to help customers achieve their goals and aspirations

  • Contributing information for the development of Customer support plans

  • Providing support to customers with personal care, living skills, transport, social activities, medication and other support as required

  • Keeping customer records up to date on a daily basis using on line systems

  • Developing and maintain professional relationships and networks with customers, families, caregivers and key stakeholders

  • With support & guidance from the Team Leader, seek out innovative ways to enhance the customer journey

What you need to have:

As well as being a person centred super star you’ll have:

  • Passion, Respect & Integrity

  • Technical literacy with proven ability to use Microsoft Office and systems for reporting

  • Certificate level qualification in Mental Health or Disability or equivalent industry experience

  • Availability to work across a 7 day rotating roster, with a sleepover Component

  • Valid NSW Drivers C class licence, with ability to drive vehicles in licence class, including large cars and vans.

  • Punctual, Non-judgmental, Flexible

  • Lived Experience

  • Empathetic and Practical

  • Willingness to obtain an Australian Federal Police Check, WWCC and first aid certificate that meet New Horizons employment criteria prior to commencing with us
