About the role

About the role:

Beyond Blue are seeking a Sustainability Manager who will be responsible for a range of activities that support the independent sustainability of the NewAccess model. NewAccess is Beyond Blue’s low intensity coaching service for people with mild to moderate depression or anxiety. The NewAccess team provides Primary Health Networks and their contracted service providers with advice and support to scale up NewAccess nationally.

There is currently a lack of infrastructure to support NewAccess in the long term which impacts on the sustainability and longevity of the service. Activities to support the sustainability sit across a number of projects within the NewAccess program of work, are varied and will change as the service matures.

Accountabilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage the approach for program level stakeholder engagement across the NewAccess program and provide support to the NewAccess Lead in program level stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Manage the NewAccess Defence service including all contract management, meetings, reporting, promotion of the service to encourage uptake.
  • Consult with stakeholders and research activities required to support sustainability including but not limited to program and qualification accreditation and potential coach membership.
  • Manage activities identified through stakeholder consultation and research to support sustainability of NewAccess (this may include procurement and management of third-party expertise / SMEs)
  • Ensure up to date project planning is maintained including the establishment, management and update of the project plans and project budgets (and associated PPM requirements).
  • Provide project support as required to NewAccess and broader Beyond Blue advocacy activities including collating information, preparing briefing notes and reports.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Tertiary qualification in health, business or related field
  • Excellent project management skills, with a Project Management certification considered highly advantageous
  • Advanced stakeholder engagement skills
  • Sound mental health knowledge in the areas of depression and anxiety

Experience in managing the operations of a health service in the not-for-profit, government or health sector, and experience in health program/qualification accreditation processes and requirements would both also be highly regarded.

Benefits and Perks

The Sustainability Manager reports to the NewAccess Lead who coordinates a team of five people responsible for scaling out NewAccess across Australia through Primary Health Networks. You will be a part of a friendly and highly skilled team working collaboratively across the organisation. The broader Beyond Blue family promotes a culture of collaboration and respect. Working at Beyond Blue offers flexibility, professional development and the opportunity to be a part of one of the leading mental health organisations in Australia. Benefits include Not-For-Profit salary packaging options, an employee assistance program and wellbeing initiatives.
