About the role
The Program
Cabrini Outreach and Catholic Church Health Services Madang Partnership:
Cabrini Outreach is the international and community development arm of Cabrini Australia working within Australia and overseas to address social disadvantage, alleviate social inequality and enable better healthcare. We partner with Catholic Church Health Services of the Archdioceses of Madang, one of the main providers of rural health services in Madang Province, to improve primary health care services in the Madang province. The PNG Country Representative of Cabrini Outreach works under the auspices of the Catholic Church Health Services of the Archdiocese of Madang.
It is an exciting and dynamic time to join Cabrini Outreach as we develop our strategy in Papua New Guinea. We seek to substantially expand our activities through strengthening our partners, as well as piloting new models of community and health care delivery.
The Role
The PNG Country Representative (under strategic direction of General Manager Cabrini Outreach) is responsible for Cabrini Outreach operational response in Papua New Guinea and strengthening our partner engagement. The role will be to engage with communities and partners to define and plan the project objectives and priorities, identifying population’s health and development needs, analysing the context and the health development issues at stake, the risks and constraints and calculating human and financial needs. Coordinate project implementation in order to efficiently ensure the goals as well as to improve targeted population’s health conditions and development situation.
About you
You will be an experienced international development leader possessing the following qualifications, skills and experience:
- Tertiary qualifications relevant to the portfolio responsibilities
- Significant experience in developing countries
- Demonstrated strong team leadership capabilities including program management, risk management, excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Clinical qualification and experience in Papua New Guinea are desirable
