About The Role

This position is responsible for managing the Key Relationships Program. Specifically the Major Donor Manager will operate a best practise program that identifies, cultivates, solicits and stewards major donors to provide increased long term funding capacity for the ASRC.

They will be responsible for the continued development and growth of the major gifts strategy and manage the budget. They will proactively build and cultivate relationships with high net worth individuals to increase income from major gifts.

About You

As an effective and passionate relationship manager who holds experience leading and reaching donation targets, you will also possess the following skills and attributes:

• Minimum 5 years experience in major gifts or similar fundraising discipline
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills including the ability to present and deliver information confidently and to provide high quality verbal and written communications
• Demonstrated success working with major donor development, including personal experience in one on one solicitation of major gifts from individuals and trusts and foundations
• Demonstrated success in building a pipeline of prospective donors and through diligent moves management moving them through to successful solicitation
• Demonstrated success in developing cultivation and solicitation strategies
• Demonstrated direct marketing skills and experience including execution of fundraising direct mail
• Strong commitment to provide high levels of customer service, including exceptional phone manner and ability to adapt communication styles for a range of donors
• A committed and active team player that demonstrates commitment to the successes of the team but also works well independently
• Demonstrated ability to work with individuals from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds
