  • Leading community services organisation
  • Salary packaging and competitive sector remuneration
  • Part time 2.5 days per week | Maximum term (12 months) 
  • Various locations including Melbourne South Metro, East Metro and Gippsland

 

About the opportunity

This role will conduct comprehensive assessments and develop Therapeutic Plans to optimise outcomes for young people. 

The Therapeutic Specialist will lead reflective practice sessions with staff to problem-solve, collaboratively develop and review strategies and approaches that promote children and young people’s healing and progress towards desired outcomes.


About you

You have experience in providing high quality practice advice and guidance to professionals working with clients presenting with complex needs and statutory involvement.

You have: 

  • Extensive knowledge of child development and the impact of abuse and neglect
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of trauma informed practice and trauma recovery principles
  • Extensive knowledge of out of home care sector including relevant legislation and regulations

Bachelor level qualification in a relevant professional discipline such as social work, psychology or social science is required.
