About the role

ABOUT THE ROLE

Margins to the Mainstream; Preventing Violence Against Women with Disabilities is an exciting community-led project. This is a newly created position, funded by the Commonwealth Department of Social Services. This project will amplify the voices of women with disabilities, and will make addressing the prevention of violence against women with disabilities a key part of the work of our regional PVAW partnership, Together For Equality and Respect (TFER).

As the Project Coordinator you will;

  • Lead project activities, including a co-design process with women with disabilities
  • Lead the planning and project delivery of the Margins to the Mainstream project
  • Work collaboratively with Women with Disabilities Victoria, the 6 organisations involved in the project and support stakeholder engagement in the project across the EMR.

You will have;

  • Excellent communication and group work skills
  • Strong project management skills and experience
  • A commitment to social justice and intersectional feminist principles
  • A passionate interest in working with women with disabilities to promote gender equality and prevent violence against women.

Women with a lived experience of disability or demonstrated capacity to prioritise and amplify the voices of women with disabilities will be highly regarded.

Salary SCHADS Award Level 5, pay point based on skills and experience – generous salary packaging
