About the role
Foodbank Queensland is the largest and most trusted hunger-relief charity in Queensland. Our vision of a Queensland without hunger and our mission is to deliver the most food, to the most Queenslanders in need, in the most efficient and effective ways.
Foodbank Queensland supports Queenslanders in crisis by rescuing and sourcing more than 12 million kg of food and groceries from farmers, manufacturers, and retailers each year. This food is then distributed through a network of more than 250 Queensland front-line charities across the state to feed more than 240,000 Queenslanders in crisis each month. Foodbank Queensland also runs a Schools Breakfast program, delivered in over 250 schools; this program feeds more than 67,000 children every week.
With a refreshed strategic vision, the Foodbank Queensland team is expanding to ensure that no one seeking food relief is turned away because current demand is outstripping supply. To tackle this challenge and improve the lives of food insecure Queenslanders, we are seeking an experienced Corporate and Foundations specialist to join our team.
This part time role (4 days a week) will see you as an integral part of the Foodbank Queensland team and responsible for forming part of a specialised team focused on securing corporate funding partnerships and grants. The role will involve achieving revenue targets and objectives and accountability for key foundation, trust and corporate relationships along with coordinating and managing state-wide funding opportunities from foundations, corporates and other grant-making bodies.
To be successful, you will connect deeply with the ethos and purpose of Foodbank Queensland’s mission. You will have demonstrated experience within a business development, corporate partnerships or major grants role. You will enjoy writing grant applications and corporate partnership proposals, and be able to manage multiple projects with strict deadlines. Previous experience in the use of Salesforce would be highly advantageous. You will also be able to collaborate and be a highly engaged, creative thinker who enjoys being part of a close-knit team.
