About the role
How you will make an impact
Assist the General Manager, Operations and Major Projects and the General Manager of Partnerships and Engagement with the execution of the marketing and communications strategy, ensuring the AEF is nationally recognised as a leader in how to transition to a zero-carbon society.
What you will do
- Execute AEF’s marketing and communications strategy
- Develop an understanding of the motivations, priorities and concerns of target audiences and follow strategies to effectively communicate messages to those groups
- Manage AEF’s social media profiles and online advertising platforms, website content and SEO performance
- Create marketing materials and support activities to drive business development
- Involvement with PR, events and awards submissions
- Assist in managing the Marketing budget and oversee the digital media budgets
What an average week might look like
- Assist in the development and implementation of various marketing strategies for the organisation including digital strategy, lead generation strategy, content strategy
- Utilise digital marketing analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics and internal analytics) to measure, analyse and improve marketing strategy and campaign performance
- Implement campaigns across various marketing channels
- Implement public relations media and social media campaigns to promote AEF’s thought-leadership and work to a national audience in consultation with internal and external teams
- Coordination and implementation with external partners of AEF’s external events to key stakeholders including members, customers and clients
- Prepare materials for Information Sessions to represent the AEF brand
You will have
- Experience in delivering projects and campaigns on time, on budget and to a high standard
- Minimum of three years’ experience in marketing
- Demonstrated experience with Google Analytics, Google Ads, Facebook Business Manager including building and optimising digital advertising campaigns
- A keen interest in the energy sector, including energy efficiency and renewable energy products and services
- Relevant tertiary qualification in marketing or environment / sustainability
- Knowledge of climate change and the energy sector
