About The Sexual Assault & Family Violence Centre
We are a leading organisation offering a comprehensive suite of services to clients and the community across the Barwon, West Melbourne and Wimmera Regions. Providing specialist sexual assault and family violence programs and services, including 24 hour crisis care support, case management, therapeutic counselling, early intervention and professional education and training, we continue to grow and develop our offerings.
About The Role
The Specialist Family Violence Case Manager – Step Up Program, is delivered by The SAFV Centre in partnership with Barwon Child, Youth and Family (BCYF). This position joins a team of four staff primarily located within BCYF (Geelong) however you will initially commence working remotely from home due to coronavirus (COVID-19). You must have a confidential space within your home and reliable internet connection to work remotely. No face-to-face appointments will be required with clients whilst working from home unless otherwise specified.
The program provides targeted supports to highly vulnerable and complex needs individuals and families with the intention of reducing adolescent family violence, increasing the safety of affected family members and strengthening the capacity of families to manage independently.
The role is responsible for providing a range of trauma informed effective interventions to reduce adolescent family violence and increase the safety of all family members impacted by the violence.
About You
With a degree qualifications in social work, psychology or similar discipline, you will be able to demonstrate experience in case management, client advocacy, risk assessment and delivery of therapeutic interventions and support.

The successful candidate will be required to maintain a current Working With Children’s check and National Police Check at their own expense.
