About the role

Who we’re looking for
If you’re a Counsellor, qualified with MARAM framework, enjoy variety in your day, and working closely with other service delivery professionals, you might be exactly the person we’re looking for!

As part of our Counselling, Assessment and Support team at Ringwood East, EACH is looking for a Counsellor to provide support and assistance on a part-time basis, making a huge difference to the lives of those who may have experienced family violence.

What you’ll be doing

In applying for this position you will have a good understanding of the MARAM framework and Family Violence Information Sharing Scheme and Child Information Sharing Scheme with experience in adult counselling on a range of issues relevant to families, particularly family violence, trauma, mental health, and substance abuse issues.

Your ability in forming effective partnership with adults and families, other service providers such as EDVOS, police, justice system, Child Protection Act
and your flexibility, initiative, problem solving skills and the ability to exercise professional judgement will support you in the success of this role.

You will utilise your experience in the provision of casework, crisis intervention, trauma-informed responsiveness, family violence therapeutic intervention, and short term treatment interventions to people experiencing mental health difficulties and/or substance use problems support and care.
