About the Job
We are looking for a driven and details focused professional to join Swinburne’s Advancement Team, reporting to the Director, Advancement. In this newly created role, you will lead a small team and help drive alumni engagement and philanthropy for Swinburne through effective management of the university’s Raiser’s Edge NXT database of more than 200,000 constituents.

Key responsibilities include data governance, policies and processes, maintenance and security, oversight of philanthropic gift processing, and analysis and reporting relating to alumni and donors. Ensuring the integrity, accuracy and currency of alumni and donor data will be critical for this role to support key stakeholders, which include Advancement colleagues, as well as staff and departments across the university. Attention to detail and familiarity with data legislation will be essential. This role is required to liaise regularly with Alumni Engagement, Development and Events colleagues and support divisional goals.

About you
To be successful in the role, you will have:
• A relevant degree with subsequent relevant experience; or extensive experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
• Qualifications in IT or data programming preferred.
• Demonstrated experience managing a relational database system within a fundraising environment (Raiser’s Edge NXT preferred) with significant constituent numbers
• Demonstrated data analytical skills with a comprehensive understanding of data segmentation and predictive modelling.
