Senior Project Manager

Compassion Australia has set an ambitious three-year strategy, to respond to the challenges that the COVID-19 pandemic has brought to those living in poverty. In this key role the Senior Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing large and complex projects to support Compassion’s organisational strategy. The position reports to the Strategy, Execution & Innovation Manager, and will lead cross functional project teams. You will also:

• Initiate, plan and execute enterprise wide projects, using Compassion’s Project methodology.
• Manage day-to-day operational aspects of the project and scope; create and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate.
• Apply business development principles for new strategic projects.
• Manage the project budget and estimate the resources needed to achieve project deliverables.
• Present regular updates to the CEO and Executive team.
• Deliver a clear process to handover the final solution to the ministry to incorporate in daily processes and essential servicing.

Essential Qualifications and Experience;

• Substantial experience in corporate project management
• Demonstrable experience managing cross functional project teams and securing project participation.
• Experience managing projects in both Agile & Waterfall methodologies.
• Experience developing and expanding into new markets, including all phases from research, to analysis and execution
• PMP, Prince2 Practitioner or PMBOK certified
