The Ethnic Communities’ Council of Victoria Inc. (ECCV) represents the voices of multicultural Victoria. We are a community based, member driven peak body for ethnic and multicultural organisations committed to strengthening and building our community through advocacy and leadership, empowering people from culturally diverse backgrounds.
Our purpose is to influence and collaborate with government, business, community and all individuals to support our vision of a culturally diverse and harmonious society that is just, fair and inclusive for all Victorians.
About the role
An opportunity exists for an experienced Advocacy Lead to drive the ECCV’s high-profile anti-racism communications and community engagement campaign All One Together. The role is responsible for developing and delivering a campaign plan and working collaboratively to develop content and engagement approaches that support agreed priorities. This includes establishing partnerships with organisations as Campaign Ambassadors and Community Champions, and supporting them to progress anti-racism actions.
The Advocacy Lead will also coordinate the ECCV’s Intercultural Young Advocacy Leaders program, a leadership development program for young people 21 to 30 of culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
