About the role
The Position
Our “Conference Members” (a cohort of the Society’s large volunteer workforce) operate within a council structure and work together at a local level to support people in need. Vinnies knows that when they support this volunteer group well, they can better support more people in local communities.
Reporting to the CEO, the GM Membership works with the Society’s Councils and Conference members to support their ability to respond to the growing need in our communities for assistance. You will do this by leading the Conference Support team to assist conferences with recruitment, training, service development, and by advising, facilitating, encouraging and supporting them.
The role is also responsible for the management and development of the “Special Works” team comprising Soup Van Operations, Education Programs, Box Hill Call Centre, and the Vinnies No Interest Loans scheme. Each of these programs and services create meaningful impact in the community through passionate volunteer teams.
