About the role: 

The People & Culture Partner (Learning & Communications) contributes to the effective delivery of our strategic goals by ensuring that our people have the right skills and capabilities. Operating as part of a generalist HR team with a focus on learning and communication, the People and Culture Partner (Learning & Communications) is responsible for partnering with People & Culture team and managers to identify learning needs and deliver fit for purpose solutions. They will also work collaboratively to support Compassion’s internal communications requirements.

You will work closely with managers to identify capability gaps, learning needs and solutions. You will use your creative and communication skills to design and deliver learning solutions, including team training, individual coaching, and e-learning. Your role will involve supporting the team to reinvent our people practices enabling our strategy.

Key Accountabilities: 

  • Develop and deliver a range of learning solutions to meet learning needs including team training, individual coaching and e-learning
  • Partner closely with managers to identify capability gaps, learning needs and potential solutions required to achieve strategic goals, at the organisational, team and individual level
  • Coordinate and oversee the administration of Compassion’s learning programs
  • Develop, maintain and monitor evaluation processes and metrics that report on the effectiveness of learning activities to ensure continuous improvement and drive a growth mindset
  • Work in collaboration with relevant stakeholders to assist in the development of internal communications plans
  • Develop, write and edit communications for executive and other functional leaders
  • Work in collaboration with relevant stakeholders to improve and maintain internal communications channels.
  • Build relationships with key internal and external networks to ensure delivery of effective learning and communications solutions
  • Provide effective HR service delivery to staff and People Managers
  • Assist with general HR duties as required.

Job Specific Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications, Experience

  • Project management experience
  • Exemplary business writing skills (policy, procedures, management briefings, reports etc.)
  • Ability to use technology to deliver learning and communications solutions (eg. e-learning authoring tools, Learning Management Systems, Office365 Suite, Zoom)
  • Ability to analyse and assess metrics and information for trends and develop plans to address
  • Experience managing communications in the media, government or non-profit space with a focus on C-suite, change management and strategic communications is desirable.
  • Skilled at building relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders, and ability to work well across teams, functions, and levels.
  • Experience in the For-Purpose Sector preferable but not essential
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management or related discipline, or equivalent experience
