About the opportunity
The Development Analyst will undertake development modelling, feasibility, commercial and risk analysis and build capability to respond to government funding rounds and contribute to identifying strategic development opportunities to support Uniting’s social housing growth strategy. This role will work closely with the Property Development and Finance teams across multiple and concurrent projects.
- Supporting the Housing and Property’s development pipeline by undertaking detailed feasibility studies, market analysis, financial modelling and due diligence;
- Collaborate with the Development Managers and Finance Team to ensure timely and accurate reporting of project financial performance against approved business cases;
- Participate in the preparation of written reports and presentations including investment proposals, briefing notes, strategy papers and regular financial reporting for projects;
- Assist the Development Team in securing grant funding and development approvals;
About you
The ideal candidate will have:
- Degree in Property, Finance or similar
- Extensive demonstrated experience in a similar role
- Advanced skills in Argus Estate Master Software (DF and DM) and in developing Microsoft Excel feasibility models
- Exposure to property acquisitions or valuations and basic technical knowledge of property due diligence
- Ability to work effectively as part of the team but with autonomy over agreed deliverables
- Background in Social Housing and/or residential development; Apartment and town houses in particular. Exposure to commercial (mixed-use) asset classes advantageous.
- Ability to work collaboratively and efficiently to maximise positive business outcomes in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
- Experience establishing processes and procedures including integration of data between the general ledger and reporting system(s) to ensure accuracy and timeliness of reporting on projects.
