About the organisation
Established by Dr Miriam-Rose Ungunmerr the Miriam Rose Foundation Aboriginal Corporation is a not-for-profit organisation working to empower Indigenous youth in Nauiyu (Daly River) NT through education, art, culture and opportunity.
Miriam-Rose is an Aboriginal elder from Nauiyu, where she served for many years as the principal of the local Catholic primary school. She is a renowned artist, activist, writer and public speaker.
The Foundation runs a variety of activities including cultural tours, after school and school holiday activities and youth mentoring.
We are experiencing a period of exciting growth and are seeking an experienced Executive Officer for this permanent part-time role
About the role
This is a key role in the Organisation and works directly with Miriam Rose and the Foundations Chairperson and Board to structure, access funds for and deliver on the ground programs that will make a real difference. It is a busy operational and strategic position which requires a flexible, creative and intelligent person who can work well with Indigenous people just as effectively as government officials. The place is beautiful and the rewards are immeasurable but the work is not easy.
