About the opportunity

We are currently seeking 2x experienced Permanent Staff to join our existing team at our youth residential withdrawal site based just outside of Ballarat. This is a 24/7 unit with 3 shifts, morning, afternoon and night (stand up). You must be able to work across all of these shifts including night shift.

In this position you will contribute to the provision of a safe and hospitable environment for clients voluntarily seeking withdrawal from the acute use of alcohol and/or other drugs. Working with the team, you will actively support clients to achieve their individual treatment plans; you will supervise and provide assistance with daily living activities, and facilitate and encourage client participation in program activities.

About you

We are seeking a candidate with tertiary qualifications in social work, psychology, community Services / or other relevant allied health discipline, certificate IV in Alcohol and Other Drugs / or the required competencies in AOD and qualifications in dual diagnosis (or willingness to undertake).

You will also have demonstrated experience in the provision of assessment and counselling services (preferably to dual diagnosis clients). You must also be available and willing to work a 24/7 rotating roster.
