The Role
The primary purpose of the HR Advisor is to support the Head of HR in generalist HR activities as well as act as a consultant to deliver best practice and commercially focused HR advice and support to business and line areas. Specifically, this role will be responsible for:
- Recruitment, selection and induction
- Coaching managers on how to give feedback and manage underperformance in accordance with policies and procedures
- Regularly review of HR policies to ensure compliance with Enterprise Agreement and relevant legislation
- Interpretation of Enterprise Agreement, conditions and award entitlements
- Manage and oversee Lort Smith Learning Management System and Induction Programme
- Manage and oversee workers compensation and return to work claims
To be successful in the role you will have:
- Qualification in HR, Psychology or similar
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Generalist HR role
- A high level of competence in dealing with all employee relations matters
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coach others
- A proactive approach to resolving issues and have an eagerness to learn
- A team player who is able to work autonomously
