About the role

The Community Wellbeing Unit delivers integrated policy, planning, programs, services and infrastructure improvement for children and older adults living across the City with the primary aim of improving their health and wellbeing. These initiatives are delivered utilising funding from clients, Council, the Commonwealth and/or State government. 

We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced, values driven professional to lead the City of Greater Bendigo’s Community Wellbeing Unit in the delivery of integrated policy, planning, programs, services and infrastructure improvement that make a positive contribution to the lives of children and families, older adults and carers living in the Greater Bendigo community.

Substantial knowledge and experience in the health and/or community services sector is desirable along with a demonstrated high level of managerial experience.

As the successful applicant, you will have the ability to be innovative, strategic, develop and deliver high quality services and programs and provide support to staff and customers in a demanding environment with conflicting demands. Outstanding interpersonal skills and sound financial management experience are essential to this role.

A significant component of the role over the next few years will be working with Council and staff to strategically plan and review services in the context of a rapidly changing external policy environment.

A satisfactory Police Record Check and Working with Children Check is required for this position.
