The Organisation
Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect) defines its purpose as understanding, engaging and celebrating the strengths, interests and aspirations of people on the autism spectrum. It works in partnership with people of all ages on the autism spectrum, and their families to deliver evidence-informed solutions that are person-centred, family-focussed and customer driven.
Aspect is Australia’s largest autism-specific service provider, with current revenues of $120+M AUD annually, and one of the biggest autism-specific school programs in the world. Additionally it provides a range of disability services, including diagnostic assessments, early childhood supports, skills development, adult community programs and employment programs, community engagement, and self-directed options for people on the autism spectrum.
The Role
This is a newly created role as part of the executive leadership team, and reports directly into the CEO. It plays a key role in the effective and profitable operation of the organisation and achievement of Aspect’s strategic plan.
You will join the organisation at a pivotal time of consolidation and growth and be responsible for overall leadership of a portfolio that includes the PMO, procurement, property, people & culture, WHS and quality functions within the organisation.
Specifically you will:
- Provide inspirational leadership to a large team
- Ensure the right models are in place across shared services to support the organisation
- Set up a PMO and drive efficiencies across all business areas
- Develop a socially and environmentally responsible procurement function
- Develop and monitor overall budgets for the portfolio
Skills Required
You are a visionary senior executive with the passion to provide leadership and advocacy for the social and charitable purposes of Aspect. You have a track record in leading teams to deliver shared services in a complex and margin driven organisation.
Additionally, your experience includes:
- Leading the strategic oversight of a varied range of shared services
- Formulating strategic, business and operational plans
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders and creating innovative solutions
- Commercial acumen in managing a growth and budgets
- Ensuring compliance with all board policies, directives and relevant legislation
