About the organisation

Organisation Name : Helping Hands Network Foundation Ltd

Helping Hands Network Foundation Ltd (HHNF) has been operating for nearly 10 years.

In this time, the Charity has provided care to tens of thousands of Queensland children through Outside of School Hours Care (OSHC) services. HHNF believes it has changed the lives of many of these children and seeks to broaden its purpose to focus on children and families in need.

Through a new strategic plan for FY22-FY26, the principal purpose will now be wider than OSHC; advancing education and social or public welfare through supporting children and families in schools.

About the role

As part of the delivery of the new strategic plan, the HHNF Board requires support from a part-time Program Coordinator to make meaningful change to the lives of children and families in primary schools in Queensland. The role will require:

  1. Hands on execution of FY22 strategic objectives, namely:
    1. Support the delivery of breakfast and/or lunch programs for disadvantaged children in primary schools in QLD.
    2. Support the provision of school supplies for disadvantaged children/families in primary schools in QLD.
    3. Partner with university researchers and wellbeing providers to deliver programs in Primary schools in QLD
  2. Reporting to the Board
  3. Research projects
  4. Liaising with external third-party vendors, suppliers and strategic partners.

The following skills (or mixture of skills) are desired:

  1. Experience developing and implementing programs for charities
  2. Experience in primary schools and/or with children.
  3. Experience in delivering programs to children and/or families with particular reference to food and mental health/wellbeing.
  4. Experience in fundraising and grants.

Applicants must be based in Queensland where the current charitable activities occur.

Qualifications and skills required

The successful applicant will also require a Working with Children Check in QLD and Criminal History Check.

Remuneration and Working Arrangements

The part-time role is on a fixed term basis for 12 months. There is an opportunity to extent into FY23 and beyond depending on the status and delivery of the HHNF strategic objectives.

Initially HHNF is looking for 15 – 25 hours per week with remuneration negotiable depending on experience.

HHNF is open to engaging the right candidate as an employee or a contractor if they currently have their other clients in the charity space.
