About the role
The Role
We’re looking for a passionate story-teller who can identify a ‘great hook’ and develop compelling content that will resonate with our varied target audiences across owned, earned and paid channels.
As Brand and Communications Manager, you will be responsible for driving Canteen’s content strategy and securing regular media coverage.
As the primary brand custodian for Canteen, you will take the lead on developing and updating organisational messaging and be accountable for achieving high levels of brand consistency.
Qualifications & Skills Required
Along with a tertiary qualification in public relations, marketing, communications, journalism or related fields, you’re able to demonstrate:
- 5+ years’ experience in a media/communications role
- Ability to develop, promote and optimise content across owned, earned and paid channels.
- Ability to identify stories, develop newsworthy angles and secure media coverage
- Excellent copywriting and proofreading skills.
- Outstanding stakeholder management skills and a natural ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
- Analytical skills with the ability to demonstrate data-driven decision making
- Previous team management experience
- Previous experience working with youth audiences and/or health content is desirable
